1. What we receive: friend invitations only
Clunk Tower uses no analytics tool. The only thing it sends to our server is what friend invitations need (see “Friend invitations” below). We do not receive, store or sell any other personal information of its players. What the app keeps stays on the phone (section 2); what Google handles is described in the sections from 3 on.
2. Kept on the phone
The app keeps your best and latest heights, the pieces and blocks you collected, today's record and daily rewards, today's missions, the stars and buildings of your town, your items, settings, how many ads you watched, tutorial progress, when you agreed to the terms, and the last answer about what you bought on the phone. It is not sent to us. To delete it, uninstall the app or clear the app's storage in Android's settings. If Android backup is on, a copy may sit in your Google account's backup, which you manage in your Google account.
3. Ads (Google AdMob)
The app shows ads with Google AdMob: rewarded ads that you choose to watch (a continue, double pieces and a doubled daily reward) and full-screen ads between rounds. Ads are requested at the PG content rating or below. Google states that its ad component collects, by itself, the IP address (from which an approximate location can be estimated), usage such as app launches, taps and video views, performance data, and identifiers such as the Android advertising ID and app set ID, for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention (Google's disclosure). This goes to Google, not to us. How Google uses it is in Google's notice and the Google Privacy Policy.
- Consent: in regions that need it, the app asks with Google's consent form when it starts, and the choice can be changed later under “Ad privacy choices” in the app's settings.
- You can reset or delete the advertising ID in Android's settings.
4. Purchases
Payments are made through the store's own payment system. Card and account numbers never reach the app or us. The app asks the store what you own and keeps that answer and when it asked on the phone.
Sharing a result
Only when you tap Share, the app makes a picture in its own temporary folder and opens Android's share sheet. You choose where it goes; we never receive it.
Friend invitations
To count friend invitations, the app sends our server a random invite code and a random number the app makes on the phone when it first starts. That number is not a name, contact detail, advertising ID or device ID. We store them with the game's name and the times a friend entered a code and passed the game's goal, and use them only to count invitations and give the rewards. They are kept until you ask us to delete them at clunk@clunk.games (include the invite code the app shows you). They are stored with Cloudflare, Inc. (United States), which runs our server.
The Apps in Toss version
The Apps in Toss version runs inside the Toss app. Its ads are shown by the Apps in Toss ad component and its records are kept in the storage Toss provides. It receives an anonymous per-game key from Apps in Toss and does not send it to us. For the leaderboard the height goes to Toss's game center, and screen names and round starts and ends go to the Apps in Toss analytics tool. How Toss handles and keeps that information follows Toss's own notice.
Transfer abroad
The ad, sign-in and payment parts above are provided by Google LLC (United States). While you use the app, the information described for them is sent to Google over the network, encrypted in transit, for those purposes, and kept under Google's retention rules. If you do not want this, do not sign in, refuse personalised ads in the consent form, or stop using the app. The friend-invitation data is stored on Cloudflare, Inc.'s servers (United States), encrypted in transit. We do not give player information to anyone else.
Children
The app is made for everyone and does not ask for age. It never asks for a name, contact details or any other personal information.
Your rights and questions
Apart from the friend-invitation data, which we delete when you ask (see above), we keep no player information, so there is nothing else on our side to see, correct or delete; the data on your phone you delete as in section 2, and requests about what Google holds go to Google. For anything else, write to clunk@clunk.games.
